Blendwise is a Shopify app operated by Returna in Australia. It helps merchants work out what their products cost to make. This policy explains what the app stores about a store that installs it, why, for how long, and how to have it removed. It is written for merchants; the app has no relationship with a store’s customers.
What we collect from your store
When you install Blendwise it reads, through Shopify’s API, only what the costing and reporting features need:
- Products and variants: titles, options, SKUs, prices, weights and Shopify ids, so you can link each variant to a blend and so cost per item can be written back to the right variant.
- Order line items: which variant sold, how many, at what price, and refunds. These are summed into daily sales totals per variant for the Reports page. We do not request or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, payment details or any other customer field. We keep the Shopify order identifier only to make sure a sale is not counted twice when Shopify re-sends a notification.
- Store details: your store’s domain, currency and timezone, and the plan you are subscribed to.
What you enter yourself
The ingredients, packaging, suppliers, prices, recipes, formats, target margin and settings you create inside the app are stored so the app can do its job. Supplier prices are kept as a history so past costs stay accurate.
What we write to your store
With your permission the app writes a cost per item to your product variants. Every write is logged inside the app so you can see what changed and when, and a value you edited by hand in Shopify is never silently overwritten.
How we use it
Only to provide the app to you: calculating costs and margins, syncing costs to Shopify, and showing sales and margin reports. We do not sell, rent or share store data, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling or training models.
Who can see it
Your data is processed by the infrastructure providers that run the app: Fly.io (application hosting, Sydney region) and Tigris (encrypted backups). Shopify processes billing. No one else receives store data, except where the law requires it.
Security
Data moves over HTTPS only. It is stored on encrypted volumes, and backups are encrypted at rest. Access to the app’s servers is limited to the people who operate it. Shopify access tokens are stored only to make the API calls described above.
How long we keep it
- While the app is installed: everything above is kept so the app keeps working, including supplier price history and daily sales totals.
- After you uninstall: Shopify notifies us, and 48 hours later sends a shop-redaction request. On that request we delete everything the store stored in the app, including sessions and access tokens. Backups age out on a rolling basis after that.
- Customer requests: Shopify’s customer data request and customer redaction webhooks are acknowledged; because no customer data is stored there is nothing to return or erase.
Your choices
You can delete any item, recipe or supplier inside the app at any time, and uninstalling removes everything as described above. To ask for a copy of your store’s data, or for earlier deletion, email hello@returna.co from an address associated with your store.
Cookies
The app runs inside the Shopify admin and uses only the session mechanism Shopify requires to keep you signed in. There is no analytics or advertising tracking.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date above moves and the change is noted in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
